A licensed diagnostic radiologist, radiation oncologist, interventional radiologist, nuclear medicine physician, or medical physicist may become a member of the New York State Chapter of the ACR (New York State Radiological Society) and also the ACR, by paying annual dues to both through the ACR website. The ACR explains that applicants practicing in the US must also belong to a state chapter. However state chapter membership is optional for active employees of the US military services and the U.S.P.H.S. The ACR requires that you be sponsored by two current members of NYSRS as follows:
Required — Two Chapter Sponsor Signatures.
You must join the chapter
- where you conduct your principal practice,
- where you reside or
- located within 25 miles of either location
To join, please obtain the signatures of two people who are active members in good standing of the chapter for which you are applying.
