RESIDENT AND FELLOW SECTION
Welcome to the New York State Radiological Society Resident and Fellow Section!
The New York State Radiological Society (NYSRS) sponsors and supports a Resident and Fellows Section (RFS) comprised of residents and fellows in radiology training programs throughout New York State. The RFS is run by elected officers and focuses on issues important to residents and fellows during their training in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
The RFS works closely with the many leaders in radiology and business throughout the state and nationally, via the American College of Radiology. Whether it affects your education, work environment or future as practicing physicians, the NYSRS-RFS ensures your voice will be heard by the institutions, regulators and elected officials who impact our careers.
It is free to join and easy to become involved! Please email one of the officers listed below if you are interested in becoming involved.

- American College of Radiology (ACR) annual meeting | Washington, DC | May 21-25, 2017
The ACR annual meeting is a wonderful educational opportunity for residents and fellows who are interested in advocacy, health policy, informatics, and quality and safety. Dedicated resident and fellow sessions on May 20th and 21st “will feature two days of dedicated educational sessions as well as multiple sessions throughout the week aimed at preparing the next generation of radiologists to serve as a strong and unifying voice for our profession. Sessions will provide practical tools for career development, updates on the modern day practice environment, and the opportunity to participate in committee elections and meaningful debate with fellow RFS members. Ample time will also be allotted for networking with peers, prominent radiology leaders and industry vendors.” Additional special events include a Capital Hill day, during which residents and fellows can “join their state delegation to participate in exclusive meetings with members of Congress to make ‘voice of radiology’ heard on Capital Hill.”For more information and to register for the meeting (FREE for residents and fellows), please visit:
