RESIDENT AND FELLOW SECTION
Welcome to the New York State Radiological Society Resident and Fellow Section!
The New York State Radiological Society (NYSRS) sponsors and supports a Resident and Fellows Section (RFS) comprised of residents and fellows in radiology training programs throughout New York State. The RFS is run by elected officers and focuses on issues important to residents and fellows during their training in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
The RFS works closely with the many leaders in radiology and business throughout the state and nationally, via the American College of Radiology. Whether it affects your education, work environment or future as practicing physicians, the NYSRS-RFS ensures your voice will be heard by the institutions, regulators and elected officials who impact our careers.
It is free to join and easy to become involved! Please email one of the officers listed below if you are interested in becoming involved.

NYSRS-RFS Annual Summer Social | New York, NY | Thursday August 8th, 2019
The highly anticipated NYSRS RFS Summer Social was a huge success with nearly 70 residents attending from 10 different programs across the state! It is always a great way to kick off the new academic year, and residents from around that state got to meet, network, and exchange ideas. The Penny Farthing in the East Village was a great venue for us, so we may have found a new home! Make sure you don’t miss out next year!
Young Professional Section (YPS) Career Fundamentals Night | June 11th, 2019
Members of the RFS had a great time learning from radiology leaders from across the state at the first annual YPS Career Development Night. Residents heard about medical malpractice from plaintiff’s attorney Ben Rubinowitz. They learned about wealth management strategies and means to achieve work life balance. Panelists including Dr. Geraldine McGinty, Chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors, discussed career advancement opportunities. The RFS looks forward to many more collaborative events with the YPS!
